I am a Chinese woman who likes travel and writing. Currently I live in the Uk on a sailboat.

Like lots of people I like dreaming.

My travel has started:- In the childhood, we travelled with my father from one air force base to another.I left China for America on my own and studied in Queen’s College in New York in year 2000, the beginning of 21 century. In New York, in the first Avenue Manhattan, I met British man Simon Rigby. Very soon I made the decision that I would sail with him on his 41ft sailboat Escape. The voyage started from the April of 2001 and finished after 19 months in Sydney. During the trip, we sailed in Atlantic Ocean, Carribean sea, and Pacific Ocean; visited some states in USA, Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, Colombia, Panama and went through the Panama channel. Whilst we were sailing cross the great Pacific Ocean, we had chance to visit Galapagos islands, Easter Island, Pitcairn Island, Gambier Island(French Polynesia), Tahiti (French Polynesia),Tonga, Fiji, then Sydney!

….

Simon and I travelled around China a bit, we gave talk to the school kits about our trip whilst we were in China for more than a year; we made our time back to Australia again and again, Bought a camp van and started our gold digging for about three months. We drove through Victoria, New south Wales and Queensland for about ten thousand miles, besides two little pieces of gold, we found so many history about early Chinese digger’s life in Australia. It was fascinate to me!

We moved on then end up in the UK, Simon’s homeland…

My writing started with:-

I’ve loved writing since I was a little girl, I am having so much pleasure by writing words on a piece of paper.

In year 2003, the Shanghai publisher house published my first book—-”Canghaiyunfan” which is the book of our journey. The reason I had so much passion of writing it was I or we had so much trouble of getting into some countries as my passport is Chinese, but we managed finishing the trip; another reason was I would like to thank Simon for taking me on his boat and introduce me the exciting sailing world.

There are so many “first time” happen in the life which I could remember most of them, meeting a stranger is kind of it. I couldn’t stop myself from writing down the feeling of it. So if you like writing and travel and sharing your feeling with others, please do join me.
